The long-awaited Grasse-Cannes train is running again, having started on Saturday 26 March 2005. It's actually much more that Grasse-Cannes, because you can take a single train (without changing) from Grasse to Ventimiglia (Italy), with principal stops along the way at Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Menton.
Grasse-Cannes is about 25 minutes; Grasse-Antibes 40 min; Grasse-Nice 1 hour; Grasse-Monaco 1h30; Grasse-Ventimiglia 1h50.
Trains run about once an hour, from around 6 am to around 10 or 11 pm. We don't have prices yet, but we'll be taking the train tomorrow (2 April), and we'll be updating our Grasse-Cannes rail page very soon, with a more complete schedule and some price information.
The comment "From 2005" on the Rail-Travel page meant that the Grasse-Cannes rail line begain in 2005. I've now updated the Grasse-Cannes schedule on the Cannes-Grasse Train page [http://www.beyond.fr/travel/railgrasse.html]. Check the latest schedule on the railway TER web: http://www.ter-sncf.com/paca/
