Bar-sur-Loup was one of the earliest villages on Beyond, on-line in 1996. We've passed through or made short stops there several times over the years, and now we've finally done another Beyond Visit and took a few more photos.
We also took a loop hike in the hills above the village (the hike is described on the Bar-sur-Loup page), passing through several long, black tunnels through the rock, without a flashlight. The lovely waterfall, shown in our photo from 1996, was bone-dry. But the little fountain was flowing with nice, cold water.
I was an Au Pair in Bar sur Loup in 1966 - my first time away from home (I was 19). It was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful scenery, lovely people. I must go back some time.

Hi Roger.
No, this is across the Loup gorge on the west side, a few hundred meters due south of Gourdon. Part of the trail follows the GR51 as it comes south out of the Gorges du Loup, following a canal pipeline past Gourdon.
The waterfall in our photo isn't a nice as the Cascade du Courmes, and it was dry this weekend when we were there.

Is this the hike high up above the Gorges overlooking the Courmes waterfall & massive Cheiron in the background? I remember it following the aquaduct. A fantastic walk.
