Autumn, and back in Beyond

Roussillonvines087 The end of September has brought a sudden chill to the South of France, with a sharp transition from Summer to Autumn. One day of light rain, though, isn't enough after a few months of absolute dryness (while other parts of France and Europe have been having floods). In our photo, some grape vines are a bit early turning to Fall colors.

We've been quiet on Beyond and on our blog for the past month because of intense work on another (non-Beyond) project. (Putting food on the table sometimes takes on great importance.) Back with Beyond now, we had a nice visit to Cotignac, with a walk to the not-quite-dry "cascade", and a tour of the village and lunch hosted by Beyond reader Chuck from Cotignac and Santa Barbara.

If any of you out there know anything about "Carjatide"s, let us know - and really surprise us.
