Beyond's "Lot" of New Villages - Rocamadour, etc.

Beyond has a batch of new villages online. Brief this time, with one photo per village and a short amount of text giving our impression of each place, we'll expand the text (history and such things) and add more photos later.

We have all the material, from our August trip to the Southwest of France, but haven't had time to prepare it all yet. Beyond has been working more-than-full-time on a non-Beyond project; followed by being off-line for a week while France Telecom/Orange found the time to do a 5-minute repair on a nearby phone pole.

The new towns and villages are in (or near) the Lot department, in the Midi-Pyrénées region (north of Toulouse).

    Rocamadour

    Saint Germain-du-Bel-Air

Many of these are very tiny villages, where we visited briefly while making day-hikes. Rocamadour and La Roque-Gageac are particularly photogenic.
