New Beyond Towns-Villages Southwest France
We've added some new Beyond towns and villages from the Midi-Pyrénées region of southwest France. In the area of Limoux, south of Carcassonne and northwest of Perpignan [map], we visited last month the villages of:
Couzia, where we stayed in a gite for a few days,
Arques
Coustaussa
Espéraza
Fa
Quillan
Rennes-le-Chateau (with mystical mystery)
La Serpent
Serres
These villages are in the Aude (11) department, in the valley of the Aude river. The famous regional wine here is the Blanquette de Limoux, the world's first naturally sparkling wine (very much like Champagne).
Our pages aren't up to the complete Beyond standard for content. We'll later be adding more photos (which we already have) for each place, and fill out the text with more in-depth information, including historical.
I love this part of France and I have done a recommended route for the area you have been describing called http://hubpages.com/hub/Fancy-a-fantastic-day-out-in-the-South-of-France
I would be happy to link to your blog on this if you would like me to.
